GLIMPSE
The GLIMPSE wall mirror captivates with its minimalist design. The round mirror glass is simply inserted into the frame board made of solid oak wood, so that the angle of the mirror image can be varied by simply tapping on it.
Due to its balance and the friction of the felt, the mirror always stays in the desired position.
GLIMPSE is manufactured in a carpentry workshop near Vienna that enables refugees to access the Austrian labour market. This is how ecological sustainability meets social sustainability.

MATERIAL & ORIGIN
WOOD
The great advantage of wood as a material: C02 is already bound during the creation of the raw material. In addition, wood is completely biodegradable and can therefore be returned to the natural cycle. In order to guarantee this, we only use a pure natural oil without problematic substances to finish the wood surface.
It is also very important to us that we use Austrian wood.
GLIMPSE is manufactured in the NUT & FEDER joinery near Vienna in Lower Austria. Their business philosophy: to give people with refugee experience and/or migration background access to the Austrian labour market. For this combination of social commitment and entrepreneurship, NUT & FEDER was awarded the Next Award by the Vienna University of Economics and Business in 2018.
MIRROR GLASS
The round mirror surface for GLIMPSE is manufactured in Vienna.
GLIMPSE is designed to be repairable from the start so that it can be used for as long as possible. The mirror surface is not connected to the frame board - should it ever break, it can be easily replaced. Since it is a standard size (ø 500 mm), you can order it not only from us, but also from a regional glazier's shop around the corner.
ASSEMBLY
TOMB is very easy to assemble without tools, you can find the exact instructions here.
USE & CARE
You should regularly wipe the wooden surface with a dry fibre cloth to avoid stubborn dirt. Please be careful with wet objects: as the wood is oiled and not varnished, water stains can occur. If a stain does occur, you can remove it carefully with diluted vinegar. Try it first on a surface that is as invisible as possible.
To clean the glass surface without streaks, a mixture of water and a little apple cider vinegar is usually sufficient - an ecological alternative to conventional glass cleaners. You can also remove the mirror surface from the frame board - but be careful not to scratch the back of the mirror.
RECYCLING & WHAT YOU CAN DO
From the beginning the return of OPPONENT to the cycle was considered.
Should GLIMPSE become unusable, there are various ways to recycle the individual parts.
