PRODUCT DESIGN AND DEVELOPEMENT
We design, develop and construct products for clients in various industries. We accompany them in the implementation and plan both the development and manufacturing processes of their products. Through intuitive design thinking approaches, we integrate the needs of our clients into our design and thus generate new, unique solutions. Previous projects range from packaging design to the conception of furniture and shop window design.
CONSULTANCY FOR CIRCULAR PRODUCT DESIGN
We want to redesign products in order to improve the use of resources. Circular design means thinking beyond a product’s life cycle: being aware of ecological impacts and of new products and resources that can come into being after a product’s use.
DESIGN THINKING WORKSHOPS
In our studio we implement workshops with our clients to achieve optimal results with design thinking tools: Together we define problems in order to develop meaningful solutions step by step and with targeted iterations.
CAD CONSTRUCTION
We use CAD software to convert analogue ideas into digital forms. These digital designs are the intersection to the production process and form the basis for checking feasibility and implementation with our manufacturing partners.
3D RENDERING
Even before a first prototype exists, we can create photorealistic images of the products using 3D rendering software. They help to make decisions about aesthetics in a resource-friendly way. Not only can they support the development process´- some of our clients even use 3D renderings instead of product photographs in E-commerce. We also use animations to show how products function, move or are constructed.
PROTOTYPING
Creating a real model allows us to test how a product looks and functions in reality. Whether paper models, 3D prints or first prototypes in the original material - in our own model workshop we have the opportunity to get close to the finished product.
ABOUT ante up
ante up is a studio for circular product and furniture design in Vienna, Austria.
We believe in a world in which everything stays in circulation and nothing loses its meaning. Based on this vision, we provide all product design services: We advise on eco-design principles, sustainable materials and production methods. We develop sophisticated concepts, put them to the test in our workshop and create unique products.
Circular objects are best viable when all of their phases of life are considered from the outset: As designers, we have the first opportunity to do so. With this holistic approach, we run our own collection of circular furniture and home accessories and tell their stories in a transparent way - from the origin and processing of the materials to the care and repairability of the products to their return into the cycle. We rely on timeless design, smart constructions and sustainable materials to create durable objects that never lose their meaning.
ante up was founded in 2020 by Benedikt Stonawski and Hauke Unterburg after several joint projects. We studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven (NL) and the Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe (DE).
ante up is a certificated company of OekoBusiness Vienna, a member of the designaustria Sustainability Experts Cluster and part of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation community.
