1. PRODUCT DESIGN AND DEVELOPEMENT
We design, develop and construct products for clients in various industries. We accompany them in the implementation and plan both the development and manufacturing processes of their products. Through intuitive design thinking approaches, we integrate the needs of our clients into our design and thus generate new, unique solutions. Previous projects range from packaging design to the conception of furniture and shop window design.
2. CONSULTANCY FOR CIRCULAR PRODUCT DESIGN
We want to redesign products in order to improve the use of resources. Circular design means thinking beyond a product’s life cycle: being aware of ecological impacts and of new products and resources that can come into being after a product’s use.
3. DESIGN THINKING WORKSHOPS
In our studio we implement workshops with our clients to achieve optimal results with design thinking tools: Together we define problems in order to develop meaningful solutions step by step and with targeted iterations.
4. CAD CONSTRUCTION
We use CAD software to convert analogue ideas into digital forms. These digital designs are the intersection to the production process and form the basis for checking feasibility and implementation with our manufacturing partners.
Even before a first prototype exists, we can create photorealistic images of the products using 3D rendering software. They help to make decisions about aesthetics in a resource-friendly way. Not only can they support the development process´- some of our clients even use 3D renderings instead of product photographs in E-commerce. We also use animations to show how products function, move or are constructed.
6. PROTOTYPING
Creating a real model allows us to test how a product looks and functions in reality. Whether paper models, 3D prints or first prototypes in the original material - in our own model workshop we have the opportunity to get close to the finished product.

Founded in 2020 by Benedikt Stonawski (*1991, Design Academy Eindhoven) and Hauke Unterburg (*1991, Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design), the studio develops durable objects that are both ecologically sound and precisely crafted.
At the core of their work lies the vision of a closed material cycle – from design through use to reintegration. ante up advises on eco-design principles, develops its own product lines, and realizes tailor-made solutions that stand out for timeless design, smart construction, and transparent material choices. Their clients include renowned companies such as Adidas, YOUS, Österreichische Post, and Rado, as well as regional startups like Fantoplast, MOWO, ZUKO, and Genusskoarl.
Since 2024, Benedikt Stonawski and Hauke Unterburg have been teaching “New Materials and Sustainability” at NDU St. Pölten, with Hauke additionally lecturing on eco-design in “Design & Visualization” at FH Wiener Neustadt, Campus Wieselburg. They regularly give workshops and talks on circular design – among others at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, Ningbo University of Technology, and Nanhai Academy in China.
